The Polish government has announced plans to strengthen patrols on the Polish-Belarusian border due to growing hybrid threats.

As reported by RMF24, this was stated by Minister of the Interior and Administration Tomasz Siemoniak.

The Polish government plans to strengthen patrols of the Polish-Belarusian border with another 1,500 border guards. They want to deploy them in sections of the border that are considered to be the highest-risk areas in terms of illegal migration and hybrid threats.

The minister noted that the first 500 additional border guards will be added to patrols this year, and another thousand from next year.
