Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has invited Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the G7 summit. The summit will take place in June 2025 in the Canadian province of Alberta.

According to Carney, he conveyed the invitation to the G7 summit to Zelensky during a telephone conversation that took place the day before.

“President Zelensky has been invited to the G7 meeting in Alberta in June,” a Canadian government spokesman said.

Canada, which holds the G7 presidency this year, will host the summit in Kananaskis, in the western Canadian province of Alberta, from June 15-17.
