Latvian animated film ‘Flow’ has been withdrawn from the screening in Minsk. Earlier this was demanded by the authors of the animation film, which won this year's Oscar. They stressed that the cartoon was being shown illegally in Belarus and Russia.
The last days the film was shown only in one cinema in the capital - Skyline Cinema in the Galileo shopping centre. The screenings were held three or four times a day, tickets cost from Br14. According to the poster, the cartoon was supposed to be shown until 19 March, but on 17 March it disappeared from the cinema's website, noted ‘Radio Svaboda’.
The visitors were explained that ‘perhaps the film will still return to the screens in a few days, but there's no certainty about it’. The reasons for this decision were not given. A man who was planning to go to the screening of the cartoon in the near future told journalists about this.
Earlier, the ‘Flow’ cartoon was also shown at the Tsentralny and Falcone cinemas in Minsk.
